Our standards
Editorial Policy
Last updated:
Moda Selection publishes practical guidance about style, skincare shopping, shoes, and everyday technology. This policy explains how we decide what belongs on the site and what readers can expect from the work.
Usefulness comes before volume
We choose topics around recurring decisions and frustrations, not simply because an item is trending. A useful article should help a reader compare options, use something better, care for it properly, or decide not to buy it.
We aim to explain tradeoffs. “Best” without a person, setting, budget, or drawback is rarely useful.
Research and sources
Depending on the subject, research may include manufacturer specifications, care labels, manuals, retailer policies, recognized professional organizations, government guidance, and comparison of multiple reliable sources. Health and safety claims receive particular care and are linked to an appropriate primary source where useful.
Editorial tools may assist with organizing research, drafting, or quality checks. Moda Selection remains responsible for the accuracy, clarity, and final publication of every page.
Testing and product experience
We distinguish between research-based buying guidance and hands-on product testing. We do not claim that an item was worn, tested, or used by us unless that happened. When an article is based on specifications and documented information, its language should make that clear.
Recommendations and shopping links
A commercial relationship may affect which retailers are available through the site, but it should not change the standards used to discuss a product. Price alone does not establish value, and a newer product is not automatically a better recommendation.
Some links may earn Moda Selection a commission without adding cost to the reader. These relationships are described in our Disclosure. Editorial content should remain understandable and useful even if a reader never clicks a shopping link.
Updates
Articles carry a published or updated date when appropriate. We review pages when specifications, safety guidance, availability, or the usefulness of the advice may have changed. An updated date should reflect a meaningful review, not a cosmetic change made only to appear recent.
Health and safety boundaries
Beauty and fit articles provide general information and shopping context. They do not diagnose conditions or replace advice from a qualified professional. Technology and travel guidance can change; readers should confirm current rules with the relevant manufacturer, carrier, regulator, or local authority.
Corrections
When we find a factual error, we correct it as soon as reasonably possible. Significant corrections should be reflected in the article's update date or explained on the page. Readers can report a problem at info@modaselection.com.
